Wolves Futsal

As the Wolves Futsal team makes its mark on the competitive landscape, the 20-team league is proving to be both challenging and rewarding. Currently sitting in 4th place, the Wolves are showing the power of positivity, resilience and a passion to play. Their offensive prowess and solid defence make every match exciting.

Tim Adams, the Executive Director of Free Play for Kids and coach of the Wolves, shared his thoughts on the team's journey so far:

"Futsal is a high speed, high skill game, and we are fortunate at the Wolves to have a group of players with incredible feet. All our athletes compete during the regular season at the university level or have previously played professionally. It is, however, a very different game than 11's, so we continue to grow into the tactics. Personally, I am very excited about creating another positive opportunity to support community building and another step in the Free Play/Wolves pathway. This is a very clear opportunity that kids can progress towards as they age through the program. I'd encourage everyone to come watch it for themselves - you’ll even see a few of your favourite Free Play coaching staff in action!"

Come and support the Wolves as they take on FC Viktoria at 3 pm on Saturday, December 7th. Games are hosted at the East Edmonton Soccer Centre (12720 Victoria Trail). With their current form, this promises to be a thrilling match. Let’s show FC Viktoria that the Wolves have the loudest and proudest fans in the league!
