Hockey at Ford Hall!
Exciting times unfolded at Ford Hall in Roger’s Place as we successfully ran another “super tournament” for all 24 schools in the Free to Play program. The event served as a perfect blend of hockey, teamwork, and community spirit.
An event highlight was the kid’s getting to meet, and even play against, Edmonton Oilers’ legend Kevin Lowe! Lowe brought his infectious enthusiasm to the entire tournament. He guided kids through drills, shared invaluable tips, and handed out a whole lot of high-fives!

This special day emphasized inclusivity and accessibility, offering kids a chance to enjoy ball hockey in a supportive and welcoming environment. The Free to Play program continues to prove how sports can unite and inspire.
This event would not have been possible without the incredible efforts of our sponsors, volunteers, and most importantly, the young players who brought unmatched energy and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation for hosting.
Keep an eye out for more community-driven events.
