Day with Darnell Nurse at Balwin School

Balwin School welcomed a surprise visitor as Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse spent the day engaging with the kids. An incredible act of generosity marked Nurse’s visit, as he donated $10,000 to the Free Play program.

The impact did not stop there! Thanks to a matching contribution from the Oilers Community Foundation, bringing the total to an incridible $20,000. These funds will support the Free to Play program in 2025, ensuring more children can play, belong and grow.
