$4.2 Million invested over 5 years - supporting over 3,000 Edmonton kids.
Free Play for Kids is proud to announce a significant milestone in our mission to create inclusive, accessible spaces for kids to play, belong, and grow. Through its Every Kid Deserves a Shot initiative, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) has invested $1.2 million in Free Play for Kids, with an additional $3 million committed over the next five years. As a result, all Free Play Hockey is now powered by the EOCF, helping 3,000 youth ages 7–18 access ball and ice hockey through our daily, year-round afterschool program. With six teams competing in leagues across Edmonton, this partnership ensures thousands of kids have the chance to learn, play, and thrive on and off the ice.
